mapDescription.-Length 21 - 21.5 inches.Its flight is like that of the Marsh Harrier.The adult male is distinguished by pale slate-grey head and upper parts,with conspicuous white rump,breast and throat bluish grey,rest of underparts white;primaries black.Females are larger and brown above;buffish white below,streaked rufous;rump white,streaked reddish;five dark brown bars on tail.Young resemble female but are more rufous on back,and tail bars are also rufous.
