mapDescription.-Length 12 - 14 inches,Male smaller.Much resembles Peregrine on small scale,but not distinguished by extraordinary length of wing,black streaked breast,and rusty red thighs and vent.Upper parts bluish black;black moustache;cheeks white,passing upward into blackish;throat white,breast tinged with buff,cere and feet yellow.Young have buff margins to feathers of black;crown and cheeks marked buff;pale tip to tail and thighs,and vent pale rufous.
